Objectives
Amnesty International is supporting the development of a new centre for the promotion of human rights in the city of Milan,
the House of Human Rights Cultural Centre.
This new cultural centre, designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects, will house an auditorium, resource centre, exhibition spaces, conference rooms, offices, retail space and a café, and will host art exhibitions, lectures, conferences and education programmes for schools, universities, NGOs and other organisations.
Objectives:
> To create a centre for cultural activity based on similar European facilities
> To create new opportunities for the safeguarding and promotion of Human Rights
> To provide a meeting place open to the public and other organisations sharing the same goals as Amnesty International
> To provide a network between Amnesty International and other international centres actively promoting themes related to human rightsons.
